"Old Bridge Mill"

It was once a water mill whose millstone was moved by the water of the river Sabor. Senhor Barilhas handled the mill and distributed the flour to the nearby town and villages, transported on donkeys and mules across the river by Ponte das Carvas, now called Ponte Velha.

The House open to the public in December 2011, it has been carefully rebuilt, preserving the original design and structure. The interiors are modern with a sober and bright decoration. It consists of pleasant living and leisure rooms, spacious and comfortable en suite rooms. Pleasant outdoor spaces of wild nature characteristic of Beira-Rio.

The city; Bragança has a temperate climate. Summer is hot and dry and sunny days, during this period precipitation is scarce, winter is cold and humid, however long periods with sunny days are not uncommon. It is one of the Portuguese cities where it snows, but with strong annual variations.
